About a thousand years ago (in fandom years), I wrote an SGA flashfic for the 38 minutes challenge. It was Ancient device genderfuckery called The Rose in the Worm and I never quite finished the sequel.

Today, 4/20,  is exitsign's birthday. Some of you may remember a little thing called Leahmas.

I totally co-opted the idea for Janemas.

Janemas is neither as ambitious nor as awesome as Leahmas, but that is to be expected since Jane is a bajillion times more awesome than I am. She will talk shit about herself until the cows come home, but don't let her fool you. She is... god, just awe inspiring.

We began exchanging email in January 2003 when she sent me feedback on a story and little did I know this girl would become my touchstone.

She is my sounding board and my muse. My days are darker if I don't have a chance to talk to her. She is so much more amazing than she lets herself believe and it's an honor to be the person who gives her a kick in the ass when she needs it.

The next seven days will be filled with things for Jane. Much like Jane did for me, many of my things are things I've been working on forever or things that she already knows about. I only hope she loves them.

My things are not as cool or as plentiful as hers, but please accept and enjoy my humble offerings on the altar of Jane.
