In the way of the world, since I am not all that allergic to mosquito bites, I seem to get bitten by more 'other' types of insects than anyone I know. Those of you with better memories than I will remember last summer's adventure in spider bites.
Well, this year has started with a bite of mysterious origin. That's not entirely true. I know where I acquired said bite, but not the type of bite it is. It is, however, blotchily red, a little tender, and hot to the touch and has been since yesterday. They symptoms have not worsened so I'm not worried, but god, I hate insects and spiders.

No, really.
I have these, well, I guess they're bug bites on my arm. Four of them. Each has an inner welt like a mosquito bite then a secondary, pinkish swelling around that the size of a quarter.
and they itch like a MOFO. Not even hydrocortisone cream is doing the trick.
