In other, fic related news, the O/P carnival piece now sits at four pages (which were quite speedily written for me) and will probably top out around 20. I've still got to write The Revelation of Feelings, The Confrontation with the Family, and The Oodles of Smut.
Oh, and at some point I actually have to meet the challenge given me. I think I can combine that with the Familial Confrontation. I did, however, finally figure out how to answer my challenge:
FUN HOUSE SCENARIO #5: Wizard's are real, ghosts, witches, monsters... Why not aliens? Aliens attack Hogwarts!
::eyeroll:: I know. Anyway, I've decided that what Muggles think are alien abductions are actually infestations by a Magical Creature that use human tissue samples for... something. I haven't decided that part yet. Really it's all just an excuse for angst and cuddling and smut.
Ahhhh...smut.
I will be in need of a beta reader for the as yet unnamed O/P story, mostly for tone etc. Ponder, then volunteer. :)

I've been a lazy updater lately. I'll try to assuage my guilt with this entry (typed in word at work, then pasted in because I'm a REBEL).

Wait, there was one person on the road I didn’t hate this morning – the guy with the license plate that read 'MENTAT'. Who's the bigger geek; him for having the plate, or me for loving it?

Is there any kind soul with WaT tape for me? Or, even better, someone with them on their hard drive who would be willing to share with a desperate fandom whore? (insert image of me making puppy dog eyes)

Speaking of, I need a title before I can post anything. Hmmm... time to break out the poetry books again.
OK. Lunchtime, then off to bartelby.com to look for an appropriate title.
Wow, that's really pitiful, huh?
Anyway, things are looking up. Kind of. I still don't have an actual job, but my temp thing has been extended through this week at least. I've got resumes in at several places, including the US District Court which would pay amazingly well when my experience is taken into consideration. So we'll see about that.
I think I'm going to go to a movie with my dad next weekend which is nice because I haven't seen him in a few weeks, but not nice because he was making noises about wanting to see Bruce Almighty so I'm going to have to redirect his attention, I think.
What else, what else... This past weekend was the birthday of the sister of the artist formerly known as Ru (

Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears
Our Lips are Sealed - The Go-Go's
Band on the Run - Wings
End of the World (As We Know It) - REM
Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen
It was a good thing.

Caroline has also started the official BWoC fanlisting. Go here for more details. I'll be registering as soon as I get home.
You know what I've been enjoying way more than I probably should? Scribe's Commercial slash series. It started with Sprint Guy/Verizon Guy slash and went from there. Sick and wrong? Probably but, for Scribe, the stories are well-written and they entertained me. Hmph. I was going to link to her website, but the link is down for the Commercial slash.
God, I'm such a slashwhore. I'll read any damn thing. Commercial slash seems tame. I mean, I've read
