Miami overload

So yesterday, whilst [livejournal.com profile] everlastingwhy was visiting with her family, I plopped down on the couch and finally started making inroads on the season 1 CSI:Miami tapes [livejournal.com profile] carolinecrane sent me way back when. I watched up through episode 8 and, boy, is it obvious how much Kim Delany hated El Caruso. I mean, she basically stopped appearing in scenes with him. And El Caruso wasn't even as insufferable as he is now. Perhaps her leaving was a ginormous boost to his ego.

The episode where the dad guns down his whole family? Ugh, disturbing.

Re:
Heh. Well, it wouldn't have been so bad, but for the fact that the entire scenario just pointed out why a person's formative years should not be spent reading Harlequins and various other melodramatic pieces of crap.

Well, it wasn't like weeping and wailing or anything, but I just had the epiphany that I don't write plot becaue all my plots are scarily Harlequin -esque what with the crazy scenarios.
