My head is a giant barometer

Seriously, the barometric pressure has been rising all day as the wind has picked up and now my head wants to explode.

Current conditions in Minneapolis:

Temperature -8° F Dew Point -19° F
Relative Humidity 59% Wind NW 15 mph
Wind Chill -30° F Pressure 30.23 in.

Wind Chill Advisory in effect from midnight tonight until noon Thursday...

Air temperatures will drop to between 10 and 15 degrees below zero late tonight and Thursday morning. These temperatures... coupled with northwest winds from 10 to 15 mph... will cause wind chills from 25 to 35 degrees below zero.

Persons venturing outdoors should dress accordingly for the bitter cold.

And that's why I live in the South.

...

It helps that my house is here, too, I guess.

Maybe I would have enjoyed living in the South more if it hadn't been, you know, Jacksonville.

Ah, okay then. ew. No wonder you live in the Artic now. You used to live in hell. I feel for you, my friend.

Yeah. Jacksonville. Moving there was, perhaps, not my best decision ever.

Plus, Southern food? Delicious, but fattening.

Hello biscuits and gravy, it's been a pleasure. How about you move on down to my hips, thanks.

But Southern food is the only food, man. All the rest of that stuff might as well be rice cakes and water for all its tastiness. Bleh. I'll take my fat thighs over eating crap any day, you know? I mean it's not like I'm going to be living that long anyway. heh. Twenty years of Southern cooking, dude. I'm a heart attack waiting to happen. I can hear my arteries clogging as we speak.

I miss sweet tea, man. Mmmmm...

Did you have a brand? I'm a Luzianne girl, myself. I was raised on it and nothing else tastes right to me. I don't know how people up North can live without tea. Ah, crap. Now I want to mail you tea.

No specific brand, no. I'd drink it from wherever. Even Chik-Fil-A.

How can there not be tea? Are you sure there's no tea? That's not right. It can't be right. There has to be tea. Would you like some tea? I'll mail you some tea. It's not expensive and, seriously, you'd be doing me a favor. Just the idea that you don't have tea is making me feel guilty and ill.

Well, we have tea here in the frozen north, but it's different. At least the sweet tea is. I mean, unsweet is unsweet, yeah, but sweetened tea here just doesn't seem as good. Maybe it's a difference in brewing technique?

Yeah, that's probably it. There's probably some crazy ass ritual involved that the South isn't telling you guys about. Something about swamp water and chewing tobacco. ::thinks:: And I really hope that's not the case because that's just a little horribly disgusting.

See, you should have lived in Tallahassee. Sure, there's nothing to do there, but it's quiet and warm and genteel and friendly and all the good things about the south without smelling like Jacksonville. I really kept saying I was going to stop missing Florida after the third time, but it hasn't taken yet. Which is weird, because it's not like I'm from there.
