I remember getting a slight Pete/Patrick vibe from that scene. I think the thing with fic these days is that if you don't specifically mention that one of the guys is with his canonical lady, people assume she doesn't exist, particularly in a story that's already been set up with a non-canon relationship.

I don't think your story suffers at all for it, though! I reread it about a month ago and it was just as good as the first time!
