So, yeah, I don't post on a regular basis and I just don't see that changing.
I'm lazy.
That being said, things have been going pretty well for me lately (knock wood).
I've been doing Weight Watchers since last August and have since lost 24 lbs and 10% of my starting body weight.
Though my current position at work is being transferred to another office, I applied for and won a different position within the company which includes a 5% pay increase. I feel sort of bad about this because I know many of my flisters have been struggling.
I had a bit of a writing drought after finishing the dragon!Bob story, but
rue_quercus and I are making quite a bit of headway with our
bandombigbang story.
I haven't been crafting much, but I did start sewing a mini-messenger bag last night. If I like how the pattern turns out, I'm going to get the awesome dinosaur fabric at Hancock and make a second.
I've been to see some awesome live music in the last year and there's quite a bit on the horizon for this year as well. Fall Out Boy shows in Chicago and Minneapolis in May are tops on my excitement list right now.
There's some travel in my summer, too. Like I said, Chicago for FOB, Wisconsin for a family reunion, Wisconsin Dells for a long weekend with the local Atlantis ladies, and Baton Rouge for Bitchfest '09.
I'm super excited for Bitchfest since that'll be composed of the women I met through The X-Files and who have become the core of my support system. There are 15 of us who have stayed in constant contact; we have a ML that we started on Yahoo!Groups back in... 2000. We post between 2000 and 2500 times a month. We've been there for marriages and divorces and illness and pregnancy and coming out and graduations... Some of us are together romantically, some of us are or have been roommates, we're spread out over every corner of the US, and we range in age from nearly 40 to barely 25.
These women are my touchstone and I love them all.
