Man, where was everyone today?

I know I was absent too, but that's because of this stupid ass job.

This past weekend, [livejournal.com profile] everlastingwhy's nieces came to visit. They are 15 and 13 and just adorable. eMMa (her preferred spelling) is 13 and has recently entered her neo-punk phase. That means this weekend was spent dying her hair purple and henna-ing a scorpion on her calf. Molly is 15 and spent a good portion of the weekend rereading The Scorcerer's Stone and taking notes. So very cute. Additionally, I decided to reclaim my lost adolescence and get my nose pierced. Hee! I like it so much I think I'm going to go back for the eyebrow next weekend. I'll post pictures as soon as I can swipe my mom's digital camera.

In the cleaning frenzy that preceded the visit, Ru found my copy of Good Omens in a big tupperware container in her room. How did it get there? I have been looking for it for months and was convinced Mom had it. All preliminary evidence points to a ghost.

Is it just me, or should the term 'piss-slit' never EVER be used in slash? It's just gross. Perhaps it's the universe's way of telling me to leave nifty.org alone.

I went to see the new Tomb Raider movie last night with a bunch of people. It was OK, but Gerard Butler? He can come home with me any time he wants. Rwoar. His sexified presence caused [livejournal.com profile] lallybroch to demand I find for her Reign of Fire slash. Does anyone know where I can find some? I only know of a couple stories that appeared on RareSlash.

Ew. That's just vile. I agree, that should be avoided at all costs.

Mmm, Gerard Butler. I'd never thought to look for Reign of Fire slash (I was mostly asleep the one time I saw it), but I'll definitely have to do some hunting.

Yeah, it's one of the more repellent terms I've heard.

RoF wasn't a great movie, but it did have its moments.
