Summary: Ray thought he knew snow. He remembered the blizzard of '79. Hell, he was pretty sure he could remember the one in '67, too. This, though, this was ridiculous.

Basically this is a stream of consciousness from Ray's POV from the time they jump out of the plan in CotW until they ride off into the sunrise together. In the middle, it gets increasingly muddled due to the incipent hypothermia, but mostly it's just Ray being Ray.

I've always been on the fence as to when Ray realizes his feelings for Fraser have gone beyond, "Gah! What a ginormous FREAK," but for sure he's twigged to it when Vecchio shows up again, so a lot of it woudl probably be him trying to decide how he's going to *keep* Fraser since it's so very obvious how much happier and in his element he is when he's in the Great White North.

I also like to think about all the grisly ways he imagines Thatcher meeting her demise when she interrupts the conversation by the fire.

Summary: In this first story of the three story arc, several days after the Big Gay Dancing in the square, Ste is, of course, beaten senseless by his loutish father and brother. Neither Jamie nor Sandra is home at the time, so they don't hear the ruckus, but when they return several hours later, Rose makes some comment about all the shouting etc that went on at Ste's apartment. Worried, they basically break into Ste's flat and discover him all beat to hell. His father and brother return home soon thereafter and there is much shouting and threatening by Sandra during which Jamie is hovering protectively over Ste. This story ends with the police showing up, as the rest of the apartment complex has finally tired of the shenaigans.

Oh noes! Whatever will happen?

Summary: Following the involvement of the authorities in their lives, things change for Jamie and Ste. Jamie and Sandra end up moving to the pub she is manage while Ste is taken away from his father and placed with his aunt. Luckily for Jamie and Ste, the aunt has moved and now lives only several miles from Sandra's new pub. The first thing Ste's aunt does is sign him up for counseling and most of this story is Ste poking at his big ole issues and making out with Jamie.
