The thing that kills me most about reading a good 75% of the fic out there in *any* fandom is the fact that people just. don't. get it.

The 'it' I'm referring to?

Characterization.

Most of the time I feel like I'm watching/reading something completely different than what these jokers are. I mean, seriously, would Nick/Greg/Danny/Martin/Duncan/Methos/Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon/Lex/Clark/Rodney/John etc etc etc really do that?
