I sing for patience...

The Coalition just spent ten minutes discussing (and I use 'discuss' in the loosest fashion imaginable since they are both DUM AS ROKS) Genesis and Noah and why sinners aren't smote enough these days.

I know hatred is bad and leads to the Dark Side, but come on. There must be SOMETHING I can do to make them stop. Ru-mate suggested setting up a wee pagan altar at my desk.

ETA: Oh god. Now, apparently, the son of one of them "won" an argument with his sister by ending it with, "Well, you came from one of my ribs, so you don't count." That right there? Forms a burning ball of hate and rage in my soul.

They sound like the sort of people that I'd have trouble not being rude to, and we nominally share a religion. My favorite tactic with people like that is to nod wisely, say something like "Ah, the literalist heresy," then wander off. Sometimes it even works :-/
