why am I so lazy?

It's like a freaking disease with me and my friends and family totally feel the worst brunt of it.

Case in point, [livejournal.com profile] nekosmuse, my [livejournal.com profile] pretty_glass entry is going to be late. It just wasn't working for the longest time, and now that it is, of course things are so very busy at work I have been working through lunch for the past 6 weeks. You can drive down and kick me if you'd like. I deserve it, frankly.

It's so freaking frustrating because I have ideas and no writer's block but I don't have enough time to write right now. Here is the current list (in order it will be finished):

1. [livejournal.com profile] pretty_glass entry. Heh. I'm still so excited about this even if it's not going to be quite as novel-sized as originally planned.

2. HP slash story I'm writing with [livejournal.com profile] justmightbe. I love this story too. I need to write more when I'm drunk and on AIM. It seems to work really well.

3. My [livejournal.com profile] onehundredone entry. I got my prompt this weekend and am giddy with possibilities. I think I might use it to break in a new fandom. ::cough::hawaii::cough::

And then that brings me up to November and NaNo, which I will be doing again. Maybe this time I won't get deathly ill on day 2. That might make finishing more probable.

I think I should use the next 6 weeks as NaNo boot camp. I figured it out last year (I had spreadsheets and everything because I'm anal that way) that you need to write about 1700 words a day to make the 50,000 word mark. I think if I can crack the whip on myself and do that I'll be in practice by November. It's a good plan, right?

OK, my morning break is done, so back to the salt mines for this girl.

ETA: Twin, if you're online yet, I'll probably call you today sometime just to check in, OK?

That's cool, no worries on the late front. I'm very excited to read this story of yours.

I am too, frankly. It's like the shape of it is there in my head, but Martin is keeping secret exactly how certain things happen.

Oh how I love my fanon Martin, the little freaker.
