backwards knitting!

My purl rows normally BLOW and are all out of whatever meager gauge I manage to knit, but today someone mentioned backwards knitting and I thought, "What the hell could it hurt to try?"

It's like MAGIC.

My stockinette know looks like knitting not like a bit ole mess.
