I watched up through episode 8 and, boy, is it obvious how much Kim Delany hated El Caruso. I mean, she basically stopped appearing in scenes with him. And El Caruso wasn't even as insufferable as he is now. Perhaps her leaving was a ginormous boost to his ego.
