Can someone explain to me how it is only Tuesday?

My problem is that I hate my job so much, I put off going to bed because the sooner I sleep the sooner I have to wake and deal with it. The problem with that 'logic' is that it makes me exhausted.

gah

Why is livejournal such a wasteland today? Since this job has stringent firewalls and fic is out of the question, I depend on this to keep me going!

My back hurts from this stupid chair.

I'm so dumb sometimes

Last night after the movie, time totally escaped me, so I did not get enough sleep. I thought I was going to die when my alarm went off. It's also like a meat locker here yet again.

In summation, I'm freezing, exhausted, and it's only 9:30am yet I've somehow been at work for approximately 1087 years.

I think I would sell my mother for a nap in a warm bed.

this day has been eternal

Seriously. I swear I've been here 87 hours already.

After lunch I was working on yet another boring project and that, combined with post-prandial sleepiness just about killed me. I think too, the music I was listening to added to the sleepy. It was The Crystal Method's Vegas which is not something you'd automatically think of for lulling you to sleep, but the repetitive loops really did a number on me. In addition, to round out the whining, the chair here is terrible. It's not meant to be an actual desk chair because there's no resistance at all when I lean back and the arms don't adjust right and... well, suffice it to say, it sucks BFDD.

Well, that's enough of that. How about things that don't suck now?

Having tomorrow off.
Tonight's slashtastic TV lineup.

as in, it's as cold as one in here. It makes stepping outside oh, so pleasant. Seriously, my fingers are ice cubes. Jones, you'd love it.

In other news, I'm hungry. Today has been moving at the inverse of the speed of light, so I had breakfast approximately 7 light years ago.

The new job is uber boring. They're putting off fully training me until Monday so I spent yesterday entering dates into a database and screen printing out of some crappy DOS-like tracking program. Today has been much of the same and I think I'd kill my mother for a nap right about now. The extreme cold is sapping my energy and my will to live. No, for real. I just felt a breeze thanks to the industrial strength air conditioners.

On the writing front, there is nothing new to report, but I plan to spend tomorrow next to Mom's pool, so maybe something will happen then.

ah, indigestion

For whatever reason, the english muffin this morning totally didn't agree with me. Perhaps it was more getting up at 6am that didn't agree with me.

I am at the new job right now. It's not bad; the people in my department seem very nice. It is completely frigid in here, though. I swear it's about four degrees. On the plus side, I can bring in a radio so music is in the offing for tomorrow. I just have to find my discman.

When I get home I have to beat kazaa into submission re: all the CSI episodes I'm trying to download. Why is it that the things I want to download are only ever being uploaded by people dialing up at 22.6K? It annoys me when I double click on an episode only to be told the download will be complete in 1700 hours. That's so not cool.

I start work in the morning. Yay!

Well, not that I'm looking forward to mucking my way through the worst of rush hour traffic to audit small business insurance policies, but whatever. It's cash.

yet again...

Today is eternal. Not as bad as yesterday, mind you, but eternal nonetheless.

can it only be 1:30pm?

I've already been at work for approximately 4 years today.

I don't know why I resisted the call of livejournal for so long. It's so much cooler and friendlier than Blogger(tm)

In other news, Ru made cookies. Is it any wonder I gained at least a stone in the last year?

I'm going to try to write some more tomorrow, but I hate being interrupted to do stupid shit like make copies. Grrr...
