WTF?

So, on a list I'm on someone just posted a story with a warning that read, "...and rape (the non-con kind)."

Um... perhaps I'm getting conservative in my old age, but it seems to me that non-consensual sex is the definition of rape. Am I missing something?

Dude, that the writer even said "rape (the non-con kind)" is offensive in the extreme. Rape is, by definition, non-consensual. This wasn't the CSI list, was it? Because I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Some people get off on having sex that resembles rape ie where they fight like they're being raped or the intercourse is brutal.

To each their own....personally I think preferences like that give the wrong idea and are just horrible.

no, I think it was the FATF list.

You know, whatever. If you want to have brutal sex, fine, but if it's consensual, it's not rape. I just think that's fucked up. And people wonder why only a fraction of sexual assaults are reported.

Ah. I'm on that one as well. I wonder why I didn't notice it.
