Teaching English Overseas?

My brother has expressed an interest in teaching English overseas. Does
anyone have any information/hints on this?

Thanks!

I hear JET's hard to get into. I can ask my friend who teaches English in China if she knows of a good program. (If he's still in school, he may be able to ask people in the linguistics department. Especially if they use linguistics students as ESL tutors on campus.)

Is he wanting to teach longterm, or for a short placement? Any idea of what countries he is interested in?

You should email Genevieve--she taught English in Japan through JET!

I have an flister who does promo stuff for JET, but I do remember that it's tough to get in to. She could probably give some tips, at least: [livejournal.com profile] styletax.

And ask the Bean! I talked to her for a long time at the last party- her goal is to be out of the country doing just this very thing by next year!
