So was it just me? I don't want to be ungrateful considering I asked to read it and all, but am I the only one who thought that actually kind of sucked?
Hmmm... As for the suckage, I have to say that I was definitely not as pleased with it when I read it over before emailing it to you. Maybe the first read was just colored with the excitement of actually finding a NC-17 WaT fic.
I really did appreciate your going out of your way to send it to me, and although I hate to admit this, I was pleased to see that it wasn't really all that great of an NC17 fic. Because I'm vain that way. But honestly, the part that bothered me the most was that the plot was just kind of all over the place. And again...issues. People need to deal with Martin's issues. His father is central to every decision he makes, poor bastard, and that needs to be addressed.
I'm never happy with other people's fic, am I? No, that's not true. I'm happy with the fic that the people I like write. Heh.
Well, they did at least try to deal with some of Martin's issues, hence the whole Martin freaking out about loving Danny thing.
Reading over it again, I remembered being annoyed about how things jumped all over. Personally, I think the author would have done better to separate the whole "Happy Hour" plot line and Martin's reaction to the events of the season finale into two different stories. They could have kept them in the same series, but two different fics would have served the integrity of the story flow much better.
As for being vain, don't feel bad. I feel a little cocky tinge about being one of only two people (you and me) whose CSI stories I have ever thought were any good.
Mmm... Yeah, if you mean the one that I told Caroline about. Honestly, isn't that the only NC-17 Danny/Martin fic, anyway? Except for Caroline's crossover, I mean. I really don't get that...why it's all pretty much PG romance stuff.
