Brian Kennedy -- yeah, he's Canadian, although I have only ever been able to get his albums from the UK. Go figure. And the only reason I've ever heard of him is because he performs on a lot of Van Morrison's albums. I have a tendency to stalk check out artists who play with other artists I love.

Neko Case also sings with The New Pornographers, who you've probably heard of. Also Canadian, although she lived in Tacoma for awhile and sings a few songs about Tacoma that make me love her all the more just because I love that town.
