Not that I am not a fan of the Bob/Brian-ness of this (because HOLY CHRIST was that shit hot), but I love the way you wrote the rest of the boys here too, the way you made them a real family for Nell. I love how much Nell is like Bob. I love the swear jar. But mostly I love the scene where Bob breaks down, partly because I am a girl who loves a little angst, but mostly because that is exactly how I see Bob losing it, if he ever did. The mental image of him on his knees, just grif stricken and lost and so ANGRY, and Mikey there next to him, and Brian feeling so far away... jesus. That was amazing.
