the boos

1. transliterated accents. X-Men fic is rife with various and sundry transliterated accents and it drives me up the wall.

2. the mighty Ho-Beast. If you know who I mean, you know what I mean.

3. tearing a contact lens. I had to venture out to the mall today to get a new pair.

4. those Kazaa bastards who upload to me at 0.02 K/s. You dial-up fuckers piss me off.

the yays

1. everlastingwhy made chili for dinner. Oh so yummy.

2. the long weekend. All the misplaced patriotism aside, it's nice to have three days off.

3. my eyes have only gotten a tiny bit worse the past three years. I'm still only mostly blind.

4. neutrogena SPF 45 sunblock. I was outside all day yesterday and only got a little pink around my swimsuit straps.

I hate it when someone grabs my glasses, puts them on, and says, "Holy shit, you're blind!"

Really? I never realized I couldn't see jack shit without magnification!

I know a lot of people who where either glasses or contacts, and there are often people who either don't believe mine is as bad as I say it is or that there's no way that it's worse than theirs is. So we trade glasses, and they always end up being, "I guess you're right. Your is worse than mine."
